....A Day of ‘Search and Reflect’ Techniques & Exercises for Musicians .. Diwrnod o Dechnegau ac Ymarferion ‘Chwilio a Myfyrio’ I Gerddorion....

….This October, Community Music Wales and Rob Smith will be running a day of participatory activities based on some of the exercises and techniques from John Stevens ‘Search & Reflect’

This training day will explore concepts, exercises and games developed by John Stevens, which will give people with a wide range of musical abilities the chance to ‘play with music’.

The day is open to musicians who want to develop new compositions from improvisations, community music practitioners or teachers facilitating music with young children.

Rob Smith is a composer, performer and improviser. He has been involved in Community Music since moving to Cardiff and trained with John Stevens. Rob has composed scores for films, television and theatre. He also composes and performs jazz and runs a community big band Wonderbrass.

Ym mis Hydref, bydd Cerdd Gymunedol Cymru yn cynnal diwrnod o weithgareddau cyfranogol yn seiliedig ar ymarferion a thechnegau Chwilio a Myfyrio gan John Stevens.

Bydd y diwrnod hwn o hyfforddiant yn archwilio cysyniadau, ymarferion a gemau a ddatblygwyd gan John Stevens. Bydd yn rhoi’r cyfle i bobl a chanddynt amrediad eang o alluoedd cerddorol ‘chwarae â cherddoriaeth’.

Mae’r diwrnod yn agored i gerddorion sydd eisiau datblygu cyfansoddiadau newydd o waith byrfyfyr, ymarferwyr cerddoriaeth gymunedol neu athrawon sy’n hwyluso cerddoriaeth gyda phlant ifanc.
